May 3rd, 2008 Tours 1 - 0 Laval
Dabo's scoring streak ended, but Tours still beat Laval to clinch promotion to Ligue 2. Dabo was unforunate not to score in the 35th minute, when he had his shot cleared off the goal line by Joachim Ichane. It was Ténéma N'Diaye (who Dabo played with when he played with Djoliba in Mali when he was younger) who scored for Tours in the 79th minute when he slid to knock the ball past Laval keeper Arnaud Balijon and into the net. First place Vannes lost to Louhans-Cuiseaux two to one, so Tours are now only two points behind them for first place. Tours must make the long journey south to Istres where they will look to overcome their poor away form and attempt to pick up some ground on Vannes.
Dabo's other club, Le Havre, were confirmed Ligue 2 champions this week after a 0-0 draw with Montpellier. Dabo's former club, JS Kabylie, were confirmed champions of Algeria last week as well.
